Welcome to Act 3 – Helping to Envision Passion and Purpose in Act 3
Many boomers now look to retirement as the time to take on new challenges or simply participate in activities we’ve always wanted to try.
But how do we take our vast life experience, intelligence, talent, influence and power and use them to design an even more meaningful Act 3 than we even might have imagined?
The truth is that designing an Act 3 worthy of our trailblazing roots requires us to ask the big questions. It demands we explore, often with deep vulnerability, our greater purpose on this planet. It calls us forth to discover how we can be an inspiration to those around us – especially, the generations of women who will follow in our footsteps.
Where do we start? The answer is: RIGHT HERE.
Facts About Boomers Over Fifty:
- 37% of the boomer generation indicate that a continued income stream is a very important part of the reason they intend to keep working, 67% assert that continued mental stimulation and challenge is what will motivate them to stay in the game. 1
- American women who are 50 and older are the healthiest, wealthiest and most active generation of women in history. 2
34% US retirees state it is the social connection they miss most after they retire. 3
- Boomers age 50 and older control net worth of $19 trillion and own more than three-fourths of the nation’s financial wealth. 4
- Boomer women have already reinvented every other life phase they’ve lived through. So why not redesign retirement as well? 5
